I have been building and rehabilitating boats part time for 40 years, concentrating on restoring sailboats and classic wood boats. After working as a systems engineer at Cisco Systems for a quarter century, I decided to change careers and follow my passion. I graduated from the Chapman School of Seamanship’s Surveyor program and started Gold Coast Marine Surveying Corp. Today I am an active member of The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors, American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), and a respected member of the local marine industry on Long Island.
